Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Coast
An aircraft flying near a well-attended coastal coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Videos uploaded on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl over the beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters stated five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
