A Pair of Suspects Accused for Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48 years old, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
